It takes personal growth to experience it! 

The Desires of the Heart community will empower you to:

I know what it feels like to be stuck with an unfulfilled life.  I dreaded my career while regretting the choices I made in my past.  This caused me to be discouraged about my future.

 

My life changed when I joined a personal growth community.  I pursued my heart's desires by investing in myself.  I grew into being motivated, discipline, and focus to experience desires in my heart. 

"Personal growth is required to experience desires in your heart." 

 

Desire is the excitement of the mind that expresses love and affection.  Desire influences you to take action when you express love or pleasure.  The spiritual root of desire is to love God. 

 

Psalm 37:4 (NIV), "Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart."   God releases desires from your heart when you express love to him. 

This includes taking pleasure in your mind in four truths:

 

Knowing God’s thoughts and ways

Knowing your identity in Jesus

Knowing how you were created

Knowing the reason you were created

 

Personal Growth is the process for you to grow in the knowledge of these four truths.  

In this community, you will receive knowledge on how to grow in your spirit and soul. 

 

Here are three reasons why personal growth is important:

1. God requires you to grow in the knowledge of Jesus Christ

​

 “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.” 

   2 Peter 3:18 (NIV)

2. God gifted you with the mind of Christ to know God's plans

​

“However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived”—the things God has prepared for those who love him" 

I Corinthians 2:9 (NIV)

​

3. God’s spirit leads you spiritually into all truth

 

 "But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come." 

John 16:13 (NIV)

"God’s word is the truth."  

 

 

In the Desires of the Heart community, our priority is to own the truth of God’s word. In John 17: 17 (NIV), Jesus said, “Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.”  Taking ownership of God’s word requires Faith and Action.  You experience the freedom Jesus paid for when you take ownership of God’s word. 

 

Here are some examples of owning the truth of God's word:

 

  • Receive God's instructions

  • A mind with God's peace

  • A single mind committed to living God's will  

  • Focused

  • Embrace change

  • Teachable

  • Have an open mind to receive knowledge

  • Creative = Work smarter with results

  • Intentional about living God’s plans

  • Grateful

  • Content with life

  • Persistent

  • Authentic Image = Value self

 

I will share strategies for taking ownership of God's word.   Strategies that you can apply in your life.  I will not expect you to do what I don’t do. 

 

However, I will challenge you to take ownership of what God promised you with courage.  I will be your accountability partner celebrating your wins and encouraging you through challenges.

The Desires of the Heart personal growth community

will challenge you to move forward in two areas:

​

1) Conform into the image of Jesus (Romans 8:29) (Romans 8:29)

​

2) Live God’s plans for your life (Jeremiah 29:11)

"God has a vision for your life"

A vision from God comes with his instructions.  This type of vision is based on your faith.  It becomes your reality when you take action. 

 

Here is the secret. God's vision for your life starts with an idea.  God expects you to act on the idea. 

 

This idea will come when you dread going to work, think you are too old, lack resources, doubt yourself,  or gave up on life. Overall, you look at your limitations and believe the idea will not work. 

 

God doesn't see limitations when he gives you the idea.  God requires you to receive his instructions to live his vision for your life. Psalm 32:8 (NIV) says, "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you."

In the Desires of the Heart community, you will gain a spiritual understanding of God's thoughts and ways to move forward with an idea from God. I will show you how to receive God's instructions for your vision. 

"God created you to be"

Life is about being.  God created you in his image to think and act like him.  Jesus came to earth to give you the ability to live in the fullness of God.  This is your potential.  Ephesians 3:19 (KJV) says,  And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God."

 

You are an achiever and experienced success. This is the power of being a human being.  Your strength of being who you are comes with limitations. 

 

These limitations may include self-doubt, bad habits, anxiety, negative emotions, etc.  Your limitations are signs that you were created to depend on God.  

​

Your dependence on God to be like Christ gives you the ability to achieve success beyond your limitations. 

​

Desires of the Heart personal growth community depend on God to be whom we were created to be.  Our priority is to grow in God's love to move beyond our limitations.  

​

In this community, you will get results of thriving in your relationships, health, finances, business, career, and social life.  This includes prospering in your mind, will, and emotions.   

How do the Desires of the Heart community work together?

1. The group will meet online once a month 

2. I will share material that includes spiritual laws, life principles, or leadership methods by John C. Maxwell

3. The group will share ways to take action on the material presented

4. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and receive coaching during Q&A
