Resting in God's love has a calming effect on your mind.
Your spirit, soul, and body become quiet when you are resting in God.
The Lord put His love in your heart.
Romans 5:5 (NIV) states, "because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us."
You live in awareness of God’s love in your heart while resting in God's love.
Here is the truth about God and His love for you.
The Lord is at rest with His love for you.
Zephaniah 3:17 (KJV) states, “The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.”
God's love is the following, which is found in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8:
· Patient
· Kind
· Doesn't envy
· Doesn't boast
· Isn't proud
· Doesn't dishonor others
· Isn't self-seeking
· Isn't easily angry
· Keeps no records of wrong
· Does not delight in evil
· Rejoices in the truth
· Always protects
· Always trusts
· Always hopes
· Always perseveres
· Never fails
God made us to remain in his love.
Jesus said in John 15:9 (NIV), "As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love."
One meaning for remaining is to continue, rest, or abide in a place indefinitely.
Life brings distractions that will challenge you to question God's love.
God's love for you is stable. It doesn't change.
You keep your trust in God when you remain in God's love.
Be well,
Tulani
