I felt empowered when I worked on a specific project in my previous career.
I didn’t feel empowered when I returned to my position after we completed the project.
I returned to my position without acknowledgment of my service with the project.
My self-worth went into the trash.
I know for sure I was not living from my spirit.
My confidence and self-worth dived because I wasn’t putting into action the truth of who I am and God’s plans for my life.
My empowerment was in cultural norms, not God’s truth.
I didn’t empower myself in God’s truth regarding my authentic image, talent, or influence.
Isaiah 65:16 (AMP) says, "Because he who blesses himself on the earth Will bless himself by the God of truth and faithfulness.."
Empowerment is blessing yourself in God's truth.
God's blessing empowers you with happiness and success without sorrow of the heart.
To bless yourself in God's truth is to live separately from cultural norms.
The following are 2 ways to empower yourself in God's truth:
Become a living sacrifice to God.
"Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship." Romans 12:1 (NIV)
2. Renew your mind in God's truth.
"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." Romans 12:2 (NIV)
Be well.
Love and Blessings,
Tulani
