Having A Satisfied Mind

Only the Lord can satisfy your mind with desires.

I recall a time when I was tired of life circumstances. Dread, disappointment, and discouragement settled in my mind.

Desire for the Lord is what brought hope to my heart.

Psalm 37:4 (NIV) states, “Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”

The cycle of life circumstances that do not please your mind creates an emptiness and void in your heart.

This causes a person to become dissatisfied with life.

Delighting in the Lord sustains your heart to live a satisfying life.

Delighting in the Lord is the satisfaction of the mind.

The Lord knows what agitates your mind.

Desiring the Lord gives Him access to your mind.

The purpose of the mind is to thrive by delighting in the Lord.

What are your desires?

Only the Lord can satisfy your mind with desires.

Psalm 145:16 (NIV) says, "You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing."

One meaning of 'satisfaction' is to completely fulfill one's desires. God desires to fulfill your desires in fullness.

Delighting in the Lord includes inviting God in areas of your mind weighed down by life circumstances.

Psalm 145:18 (NIV) states, “The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.”

Delight in the Lord by inviting him into your mind with truth.

The knowledge of God’s truth is what causes Him to fill every void in your heart.

God’s word is truth. Jesus said in John 17:17 (KJV), “Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.”

The Bible is the testament of God’s truth.

The following are questions to consider seeking the truth:

1. What is the truth about God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit?

2. What is the truth?

3. What is the truth about who I am?

4. What is the truth in how God created me?

5. What is the truth in why God created me?

6. What is the truth in God’s plans for me?

It is important for you to know the truth in getting pleasure while living the desires of your heart.
