Do you desire to be more and do more, but feel stuck because you are not moving forward in life? There are many desires we have in life. The desire I'm referring to is the desire to live our purpose in life. For many years, I felt stuck and frustrated because my routine schedule was a schedule of existing and not living. While yet, I had the desire to be more and do more by living my life purpose.

Do you remember as a child the desire you had, but your ideas and exploration of life diminished as you got older and experienced life challenges. When we are not intentional about living our life for what we are created on this earth to accomplish, we live a life of emptiness and void which create toxic results.

We were created to be more and do more with our purpose in life. We are wired to live a life of abundance through growth. Our desires are indicators that the greatness on the inside of us is seeking expression through our talent and purpose in life. We feel inadequate to live the desire of our life purpose because of rejection, disappointments, failures, and life altering events just to name a few. Wallace D. Wattles stated desire is manifested power. Meaning we are equipped on the inside with the provision to experience our desire. Our provision on the inside include the following:

  1. Choice - We have the power to choose the desires of our heart. When we choose to believe we can live out our desire of purpose, we take ownership of the talent on the inside of us including who we are. When we don’t choose to live our purpose, we don’t take ownership and choose a life of existence.

  2. Belief - What and how we think drives our behavior. Our beliefs determine the results we will get in life. If we believe we cannot have a life of significance, will live a life of existence with no purpose.

  3. Vision - Our vision on the inside of us creates the life we live. Having a vision for our desire of talent and purpose creates a life of significance. We cannot thrive or experience our desires without a vision.

Now here is the requirement to being more and doing more regarding our purpose in life. We must grow. Our desire speaks to our potential not our current state of being. The Law of Intentionality defined by John C. Maxwell states growth doesn't just happen. We must be intentional about growing. Think about where you are currently in life. Identify what areas you need to experience growth. It could be time management, leadership, relationships, character, finance, or health. As you grow, opportunities in relation to your desire to be more and do more will greet you to live your purpose.
