5 Areas To Expand Your Knowledge in God's Teachings: To Live Desires In Your Heart

I want to encourage you to keep believing. Believe God’s truth over the challenges you are experiencing. I made a phone call this week that was a breakthrough for a gracious person. This opened the door of clarity, expanded their awareness, and gave them ideas to move forward with their life. This was based on the knowledge they received.

What happened?

This person had an open mind. They were open to receive the knowledge God had for them. An open mind toward God is one way of showing how much you respect, value, and honor him.

God will give you teachings and guidance about an idea, invention, vision, or solutions to problems when your mind is open to him. Proverbs 1:7 (NIV) says, "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction."

The following are 3 benefits to receiving God's teachings to live desires in your heart:

1. Jesus teachings give you instructions on how to have success in any area of your life. This is one of many reasons why Jesus said in John 14:16, “I am the way, the truth, and the life."

Jesus fully depended on God by allowing God to teach him. In John 7:16 (NIV) Jesus said, “My teaching is not my own. It comes from the one who sent me.

2. God's knowledge will equip you to do the impossible that God placed in your heart.

Jesus promised that if you believe on him that you will do the works he did plus greater works. Jesus said in John 14:12 (NIV), “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.”

The works Jesus is referring to are desires in your heart that are connected to:

• Who you were created to be

• God’s plans for your life

These works start in the form of an idea, invention, vision, dream, etc.

3. God will produce the results for your vision, plans, and goals when you put his teachings into action.

God produced the results while Jesus was doing his work on earth. In John 14:10 (NIV) Jesus said, “The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work."

Here is the truth of your desires in your heart:

God guarantees success when you allow him to teach you

I challenge you to identify the following areas where you may expand your knowledge of God teachings to live desires in your heart :

• God’s Nature: His character, His thoughts, and His ways

• How You Were Created: How to live from your spirit

• Spiritual Laws: Jesus teachings to live in the fullness of God

• God’s Will: How to discover and live God’s plans for your life

• Life Application: Biblical teachings on how to live daily with purpose, influence, morals, character, and integrity

God teachings come with you knowing the way, the truth, and the life to experiencing desires in your heart.
