I must admit that I was trying to be everything at one time. I learned my lesson I became exhausted. I couldn’t focus and think clearly. This caused my inability to give full attention to accomplishing goals. I eliminated everything from my schedule that did not bring me closer to my goals that are connected to God’s plans for my life.

Are you trying to do everything at one time?

Do you feel exhausted at the end of the day?

Mental fatigue and exhaustion are signs that you are doing something that is depleting your energy to live God’s plans for your life. God’s plans for your life come with ease, energy, strength, focus, and clarity.

The truth was my plate was full. I starting praying when I recognized what was going on with me. Our daily activities include fulfilling our tasks, but we have to look at how it is affecting us. You were made in God’s image. Colossians 1:15 (NIV) says,“ The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.” Jesus is the image of God.

What did Jesus do to keep his ability to fulfill God’s plans for his life?

  • Jesus knew his purpose

  • Jesus prayed continually

  • Jesus grew in wisdom

  • Jesus daily focus was to do God’s business

  • Jesus only spoke what God instructed him to say

  • Jesus only performed tasks God instructed him to complete

I can go on analyzing Jesus discipline to fulfill his mission on earth. The truth is this is the same for you. Jesus gave you the power to live God’s plans for your life. One of my mentors said, “If you are overwhelmed, you are under purposed.”

He was explaining that everything people do that is not aligned with God’s plans for their life causes them to get overwhelmed. You may not know God’s plans for your life. You may be consumed with many tasks that are draining. You may be stuck. Life may be suffocating you.

The good news is God will meet you where you are. You are fully equipped to do what God will have you to do. My prayer is that you get strength, energy, clarity, and focus to live God’s plans for your life.

What do you do to get your energy to focus, think, and perform tasks connected to God’s plans for your life?
