Your commitment to personal growth is God's way of moving you forward. I engaged in a coaching call expressing my concern about my growth process. My Coach instructed me to list my wins. I listed my wins. Next, I celebrated my wins.

My Coach wanted me to see my growth in my wins. My Coach explained that I was making progress because of my commitment. I realized my commitment to personal growth moves me forward when it appears I'm not.

There are times when it appears you are not moving forward. You've taken action on a God-given idea, but you don't see progress. Ask yourself the following questions, "Am I growing in God's wisdom?" "Am I committed to personal growth?" You are not responsible for the outcome of whatever you achieve.

Only God fulfills your heart's desire. Psalm 145:16 (NIV) says, "You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing." This includes producing fruit (results) with an advantage and for-profit. Your commitment is what God needs from you. This type of commitment comes with personal growth.

Personal growth is the process of moving forward. God will meet your heart's desire through your commitment to personal growth. Psalm 37:5 (KJV) says, “Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.” Commitment is submitting to God’s way of growing in God's wisdom.

This is one reason why Jesus said, " I am the way.." in John 14:6. Jesus left a blueprint for you to fulfill your mission in life. He committed his life to God to save the world. Jesus's commitment included growing in wisdom. Luke 2:52 (NIV)says, "And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.

How do you commit to God's way?

The following are 7 truths to committing to God's way of personal growth:

1. Have Faith in God: Faith is the bridge to your heart’s desires. Mark 11:22 (NIV) says, “Have faith in God..”

2. Desire a life of righteousness: Thirst for righteousness to grow. One meaning for desire is to thirst. Matthew 5:6 (NIV) says, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled."

3. Have a righteous conscience: Stay aware of your right standing with God. I Corinthians 15:34 (KJV) says, "Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame."

4. Discipleship: Increase in learning Christ teachings. John 15:8 (NIV) says, "This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples."

5. Sound mind: Develop discipline and self-control in the mind. 2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV) says, "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."

6. Grow in God’s wisdom: Personal growth is growing in God’s wisdom.

Luke 2:52 (NIV) says, "And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man."

7. Have courage: The Latin word for courage is the heart. God will strengthen your heart when you dare to live God’s plans for your life. God will strengthen your mind, will, emotions, reasoning, imagination, perspective, memory, and intuition.

Be of good courage he will strengthen your heart. Psalm 31:24

I challenge you to commit to personal growth!
