The Lord made you to be in peace in your spirit, soul, and body.
Jesus said in John 14:27 (NLT), “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.”
One purpose of having peace in your mind and heart is to guard your heart.
The force of life flows from your heart.
Life issues have a way of agitating your mind.
For example, one distraction in life is having an agitated mind about a life issue that caused you pain.
I learned from developing a spiritual mindset that peace gives you the capacity to perform tasks, endure challenges, and have a calm mind.
What agitates your mind that causes anxiety?
Peace is available to you to guard your heart and mind.
Prayer gives you access to peace when you are anxious.
Philippines 4:6-7 (NIV) states, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
There are times when you don’t know what to say when you are anxious.
The Lord’s prayer is the perfect prayer that will help you.
The following is the Lord’s prayer:
In this manner, therefore, pray:
“Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.11 Give us this day our daily bread.12 And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors.13 And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.” Matthew 6:9-13 (NKJV)
It may help to pray more than once a day to guard your heart with peace.
Be well,
Tulani
