Having courage is part of discovering and living the desires of the heart.

Joshua 1:9 (NLT) says, "This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go."

The key to overcoming life issues is having the courage to discover desires hidden in your heart.

The following is a story a gracious woman shared with me that is funny but full of wisdom:

“A man was walking down the street and saw an old man and his dog sitting on a porch. The dog was moaning while sitting.

The man walked up to the porch and asked the old man why is his dog moaning. The old man said his dog was sitting on a nail.

The man asked the old man, ‘Why doesn’t your dog get off the nail.’

The old man said, ‘The nail doesn’t hurt him enough.”

We all find ourselves sitting on a nail at times.

These times will cause you to feel like you have no strength or desire but are okay with being in your comfort zone.

Having courage is the solution to getting off the "nail."

The Latin root word for courage is the heart.

God strengthens your heart when you use courage to discover God-given desires.

Psalm 31:24 (NKJV) says, "Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart, All you who hope in the LORD."

God strengthens your heart with his instructions, wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. His gives you creativity, joy, peace, spiritual growth, etc.

Where do you need God's strength?

May God strengthen your heart through your acts of courage.

You may pray the following prayer:

God, thank you for creating me to be of good courage. It's your way to strengthen my heart. I ask that you show me how to use my courage to step out of my comfort zone. I thank you for giving me strength through the acts of my courage. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Be well.

Love and Blessings,

Tulani
