Knowing A Virtue That Empowers You

Are you old enough to remember the rotary phone? The old faithful rotary phone had a cord that would get tangled, and difficult to keep from tangling after many uses. The rotary phone was for limited movement while talking. I remember how I would move around while talking on the phone when I was a kid.

My movements stretched the cord to the point it no longer had its original form. It caused static in the phone. You knew it was time to get a new phone when you had to move the cord around to stop the static. Circumstances will entangle you like the cord on the rotary phone. Circumstances will stretch you to having no energy to move forward in life. It creates static that causes you to think you don't have any desires in your heart. The static blocks your frequency to hear from God. Every day God seeks to influence you to achieve a God-given desire. What do you do when circumstances are blocking you from God-given desires? The good news is you have a virtue, which is your power to achieve desires. Your virtue is your faith. You achieve God-given desires by faith. Your faith will cause God to lift you out of anything entangling you. You may see your entanglement of circumstances as deep water, but God sees it as shallow water. It is why Jesus told the woman in Mark chapter 5 that her faith made her whole. Mark 5:34 (KJV) says, “And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace and be whole of thy plague.” This woman had a blood issue for twelve years. She had an entanglement with debt, and her condition was getting worse. She woke up with a desire for healing and touched Jesus by faith. You have the same faith this woman had. Faith that you have God-given desires in your heart. Your faith can start as the size of a mustard seed. Matthew 17:20 (NKJV) says, "So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you." You have God-given desires in your heart. You achieve them by faith. Be well!
