Think of how automobiles operate.

An automobile requires an engine, transmission, axles, battery, pistons, etc.

Without one of the required parts, automobiles aren't able to operate.

God made us in three parts. Our three parts are spirit, soul, and body.

We need oxygen, blood, a heart, lungs, kidney, liver, water, food, etc., for our bodies to operate.

God made our spirit and soul function to operate by the word of God.

Matthew 4:4 (NIV) says, "People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God."

God's word gives instructions to live from our spirit and soul to function.

God's word from the Bible instructs us to hope in God.

Psalm 43:5 (NLT) says, Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again— my Savior and my God!

Hope is to place confidence and trust in God with confident expectations to experience His goodness.

What do you do when your heart is discouraged and sad?

Hope in God.

One way to hope in God is to put hope (expectation) in his word.

Psalm 119:114 (NKJV) says, "You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in Your word."

God hides and shields you from sadness and discouragement through hope in his word.

May your hope remain in God.

Love and Blessings
