One Way To Grow in God's Love

God's love is the path to excel in every area of life.

There is no failure in God's love.

1 Corinthians 13:8 NIV says, "Love never fails."

God is love according to 1 John 4:8.

God made you in His image. Therefore, God made you in his love.

You are love with the ability to excel in every area of life.

I made choices that caused me to experience failures.

Part of my experiences of failure caused me to experience depression and anxiety.

I would try to fix my life by trying to control the outcome of every situation.

It caused me to remain in the cycle of experiencing failures in life.

Failure keeps anyone stuck with disappointment, dread, and discouragement.

God's love causes us to move forward with desires, courage, and being satisfied with life.

God's love released me from my failures.

I received God's love when I realized God desired me.

God desires to be with you.

It is one reason God said in Jeremiah 24:7 that he will give you a heart to know him.

Jeremiah 24:7 (NIV) says, "I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the Lord. They will be my people, and I will be their God, for they will return to me with all their heart."

God defines you by His love, not by your failures.

God sees His love when He looks at you.

1 Corinthians 13 defines God's love.

God's love is the following:

• Patient

• Kind

• Always protect

• Always trust

• Always hope

• Always persistent

• Doesn't brag

• Doesn't envy

• Isn't proud

• Doesn't dishonor others

• Not self-seeking

• Not easily angered

• Keeps no record of wrong

• Doesn't take pleasure in evil

• Rejoices with the truth

• Never fails

God expands in your heart as you increase your knowledge of him.

The truth of God's love expands in your heart as you increase in knowing God.

1 John 4:8 (NIV) says, "Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love."

God's love comes with a mindset that focuses on being who God made you.

Your choices connect to who you are, not what you do.

God's love focuses on becoming.

God's love gives us the ability to grow beyond our mistakes.

You grow beyond your mistakes by growing in love.

Spiritual growth in God's love strengthens you in your soul (mind, will, & emotions).

Growing in God's love comes by trusting God.

Trusting God is committing to allow God full access to your heart.

Ephesians 3:17 (NLT) says, "Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong."

Trusting God is letting of anything that doesn't belong in your heart.

Psalm 62:8 (NIV) says, "Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge."

The following is a prayer to pray:

God, I thank you for making me in your love. I desire You and to grow in love. I trust you with my heart. Show me how to let go of what doesn't belong in my heart. Thank you for growing me in your love by trusting you. In Jesus' Name. Amen
