Prospering Your Soul Part 2

Prospering the soul is thriving in your mind, will, and emotions.

Evidence of prospering in your soul is a calm mind without anxiety.

Emotions infused with joy.

3 John 1:2 (NKJV) says, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers."

I assumed thriving was based on what I achieved until my life became empty.

I hit a point in my life when my heart was empty.

I achieved milestones but was in deep sorrow.

My life spiraled out of control when I experienced depression.

God made males and females into three parts spirit, soul, and body.

Your spirit is the foundation to prosper your soul.

Prosperity flows from your spirit to your soul when you live a spiritual lifestyle.

The prosperity of the spirit comes from having a relationship with God.

My relationship with God was out of harmony when I was depressed.

I perceived God to be my source of survival. My desire for God was up and down.

I desired God when I needed something but lacked affection for God when life was going well.

God desires to have a relationship with you.

Your spirit, soul, and body grow, live, and thrive through a relationship with God.

I overcame depression and anxiety by clinging to God.

Joshua 23:8 (AMP) says, "But you are to cling to the LORD your God, as you have done to this day."

To cling to God is to have an emotional attachment and dependence on God.

God prospers your soul when you cling to him.

God created you to thrive by clinging to Him.

The following are two areas to examine if you are clinging to God:

1. Examine who or what has your emotions more than God.

2. Examine what your soul depends on to satisfy you.

The key to clinging to God is to have hope in God.

Hope in God is expecting that only God can prosper your soul.

Hope keeps your soul clinging to God.

Hebrews 6:19 (NIV) says, "We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure."

Your soul prospers in God when you cling to God with hope.

May your soul prosper as you cling to God with hope!
