Overall, God is the source of your well-being.
Well-being is the state of being happy, healthy, or prosperous.
3 John 1:2 (KJV) says, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers."
I hit a point in my life when my heart was empty. I achieved milestones in my life but was in deep sorrow. My life spiraled out of control when I experienced depression.
I experienced silent frustration and dreaded living. I knew if I didn't gain control of the negative emotions that dominated my day, I would regress in life.
My desire for God was up and down. My relationship with God was out of harmony.
I chose the path to seek God.
I was healed from depression when I made God the source of my well-being.
Your love for God opens your heart for God to be the source of your well-being.
What do you desire for your well-being?
The spiritual root of the heart's desires is to love God with all of your heart, mind, and soul.
In Matthew 22:37 (NIV), Jesus said, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind."
Jesus required love for God to be the first and greatest commandment in Matthew 22:38.
One meaning of desire is to require.
A remote control requires batteries to function.
The spirit of every human being requires love for God to live.
It's a law of human nature.
God made you function by loving him with all your heart, mind, and soul.
God becomes the source of wisdom, understanding, knowledge, love, peace, joy, freedom, discipline, faith, goodness, health, prosperity, etc.
How do you love God with your mind?
Delighting in God is a way to show love for God.
Delight is a high degree of pleasure or satisfaction in the mind.
Psalm 37:4 (NIV) says, "Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart."
A delight for God begins in the mind.
The following are six areas of delight for the mind:
1. Knowing God
2. Knowing God's truth
3. Knowing who he created you to be
4. Knowing how he created
5. Knowing why he made you
6. Knowing his plans for your life
You experience your desires for well-being when you delight in God.
Enjoy your day with God!
Love and Blessings,
