I hope all is well with you! My truth kept me in trouble. In the past, my truth caused me to defend myself. I developed a personality to fight when there was a disagreement. I fought during my school years until my Mother talked with me in 12th grade. I stopped fighting with my hands and started using my mouth. Mouth represented my truth of owning trauma, anger, bitterness, and pride. I learned through depression and anxiety that my truth was blocking desires in my heart. I had to redefine my truth as I grew spiritually. I discovered God-given desires after owning the truth I was made aware of. What does it mean to own your truth? Discovering and living the desires of your heart is about owning the truth of God’s word. It includes the truth of who God made you. Proverbs 23:23 (NKJV) says, "Buy the truth, and do not sell it, Also wisdom and instruction and understanding." To buy is to accept the truth, according to Oxford English Dictionary. I had to buy into who God made me to become. God’s word is truth. Jesus said in John 17:17 (KJV), “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. Sanctify means to be separate. God desires for you to live sanctified from culture by his word. The truth includes being who God made you. People in culture today live by their own truth. The meaning of words is changing to define what people are making their truth. Owning your truth includes engaging your life the way God created you. God's truth says to conform to His image. Romans 8:29 (NKJV) says, "For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren." God gives everyone desires from Him. What are your God-given desires? You discover and live them by owning the truth of who God made you to become in His image. Enjoy your day!

Love and Blessings, Tulani
