Why Does God Give You Ideas?

God will give you an idea to get an understanding of how He made you in His image with talent and influence. It is how God influences you to be the source of intelligence in your heart that gives understanding.

The following are two translations of Job 32:8 that confirm understanding comes from God:

• But it is the spirit in a person, the breath of the Almighty, that gives them understanding. Job 32:8 (NIV)

• But there is a spirit within people, the breath of the Almighty within them, that makes them intelligent. Job 32:8 (NLT)

You will find the desires God hid in your heart when you get an understanding of your identity in Christ, talent, and influence. God uses an idea for you to get an understanding of your heart.

I remember the day God gave me the idea to start a mentoring group at a high school. I didn’t know at the time that this was God’s strategy to put understanding in my heart. My intelligence about my identity in Christ and potential increased after I took action on the idea.

I share this story because God brings an understanding of your identity, talent, and influence when you take action on an idea. It is how God moves you forward.

Think for a moment that God has an idea for you to get an understanding with your heart of how he made you.

Jesus said in Matthew 13:9 (NLT), "Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand.”
