Silence with a quiet mind is a strength.
Silence is the quietness and calmness of the mind.
Isaiah 30:15 (NIV) says, “In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength,”
God gives you strength in silence when you confidently turn to Him for His plans and guidance for you.
God seeks to give you his plans and guidance when your mind is agitated.
Do you need God's plans for any part of your life?
Your silence gives you the strength to calm your mind.
Peace from God comes when you become silent and magnify God in your mind.
Colossians 3:15 (CEV) says, " ...So let the peace that comes from Christ control your thoughts. And be grateful."
You magnify God when your mind is on God more than what is distracting and agitating you.
God reveals His plans for you when you let His peace control your mind.
It starts with the decision to recognize God and be silent when you are anxious.
Zechariah 2:13 (NLT) says, "Be silent before the LORD, all humanity, for he is springing into action from his holy dwelling.”
Psalm 46:10 (NIV) says, "Be still, and know that I am God;"
.
One way to keep silence before God is to let scriptures dominate your thoughts.
The following are scriptures to meditate on to silence your mind and focus on God:
Philippians 4:6 (AMP): "Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God."
Philippians 4:7 (AMP): "And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours]."
Philippians 4:8 (AMP): "Finally, believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God’s word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart]."
May your silence while focusing on God gives you strength.
Enjoy your day with God!
Love and Blessings,
